Question 1

How far in advance should I arrive to board the Ciutadella to Alcúdia ferry?

Accepted Answer

If you are travelling with your vehicle, we ask that you arrive at the port at least sixty minutes before the scheduled departure time. If you are travelling as a foot passenger, arriving thirty minutes before departure will be sufficient. We recommend checking in online in advance through our app or website. This way, you will have your boarding passes directly on your mobile phone and avoid having to queue at the terminal ticket office, making the whole process quicker and ensuring your journey begins as smoothly and comfortably as possible.

Question 2

Can I bring my car and travel with my pet on this route?

Accepted Answer

Yes, absolutely. At Trasmed, we are a shipping company officially certified in animal welfare, so your dog or cat is more than welcome on board the Ciutadella to Alcúdia ferry. We offer several options designed for their comfort: booking a pet-friendly cabin where you can stay together, bringing your pet into the seating area if it weighs no more than eight kilograms including its carrier, or using our video-monitored pet kennels. To bring your vehicle on board, simply add the make, model and registration number during the booking process. On the day of travel, you will drive your vehicle directly into the ship’s garage yourself.

Question 3

What documents do I need to board the ferry?

Accepted Answer

To board the Ciutadella to Alcúdia ferry, citizens of the European Union only need to present a valid original identity card or passport. It is important to remember that minors, including babies, must also carry their own personal identification. If you are a resident of the Balearic Islands and apply the resident discount during booking, our system will usually validate your status electronically. However, we recommend always carrying a physical residency certificate in case terminal staff need to verify it before boarding.
