Question 1

How does booking a ticket for the ferry from Sardinia to Barcelona work?

Accepted Answer

At Trasmed, thanks to our membership in the Grimaldi Group, we provide access to high-quality international routes. The ferry route from Sardinia to Barcelona is operated by Grimaldi Lines, and you can easily manage your booking online. During the booking process, we recommend selecting the fare that best suits your flexibility needs and adding meal services in advance, as this is usually more economical than purchasing them on board.

Question 2

Can I bring my car or motorcycle on the ferry from Sardinia to Barcelona?

Accepted Answer

Yes, travelling with your own vehicle is one of the most convenient and popular options. When booking your place on the ferry from Sardinia to Barcelona, you only need to provide the make, model, and registration number of your car, motorcycle, or van. On the day of departure, the driver will be the only person responsible for taking the vehicle into the ship's garage, while the remaining passengers included in the booking will board on foot. For strict safety reasons, the vehicle decks remain closed throughout the entire crossing, so make sure to take everything you will need for the journey with you before entering the passenger areas.

Question 3

What luggage can I take on board the ferry from Sardinia to Barcelona?

Accepted Answer

One of the main advantages of travelling by sea is that there are no weight limits or restrictions on the number of bags you can bring. On the ferry from Sardinia to Barcelona, you can take everything you need for your holiday. If you are travelling without a vehicle, the only requirement is that you must be able to carry your luggage on board by yourself and in a single trip. Although the ships do not offer traditional luggage storage facilities, we provide a free luggage room service managed on board, where you can leave your belongings securely and enjoy the ship's facilities and dining options with complete peace of mind.

You can book a pet-friendly cabin to sleep together and receive a welcome kit, travel in the seating area if your pet is in a carrier and weighs no more than eight kilograms, or accommodate your pet in our hygienic kennels equipped with video surveillance. You simply need to include your pet in the booking and carry its boarding pass along with a valid pet health certificate.

Accepted Answer

To ensure a smooth boarding process and start your journey stress-free, arrival times vary depending on your mode of travel. If you are travelling with a vehicle on the ferry from Sardinia to Barcelona, you must be at the terminal at least sixty minutes before departure.
