Residents of the Balearic Islands can prove their eligibility for the regular passenger maritime transport subsidy at the time of purchasing their ticket.
The applicable discount for all direct routes, whether one-way or round-trip, is 75% for Balearic residents (and 89% for Formentera residents and on the Ibiza–Formentera route). This discount applies strictly to the accommodation fare. Vehicles, pets, and ancillary services such as meals, insurance, etc., are not subsidized..
The resident discount will be displayed during the final step of the booking process, along with all passenger details.
To claim the discount, you must enter your identity document (DNI or NIE) and your full name exactly as it appears on that document during booking. Online check-in is available starting 7 days before departure. If automatic online verification fails, you must present your Residence Certificate at the ticket office. We recommend that all passengers carry the ID listed on their certificate.
Required supporting documentation for resident discounts:
- Spanish, EU, EEA, or Swiss citizens residing (registered on the municipal roll) in the Balearic Islands: Valid DNI or NIE.
- Spanish citizens under 14 years old without a DNI/NIE: Travel certificate (certificado de viaje).
- Third-country nationals who are family members of Spanish, EU, or Swiss citizens residing in the Balearic Islands: Foreigner Identity Card (Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjero).
- Third-country nationals with long-term residence permits: Foreigner Identity Card stating long-term (or permanent) residency.

Certified members of Large Families (holding an official title issued by Autonomous Communities) are entitled to a maritime transport subsidy at the time of ticket purchase.
The discount applies to all direct one-way and round-trip routes: 20% for General Large Family members and 50% for Special Large Family members
This discount applies to all direct routes (one-way or round-trip) on accommodation costs only. Vehicles, pets, meals, insurance, and other extra services are excluded from the subsidy.
The discount will be reflected from the first step of the booking process.
Passengers must present their Official Large Family Title during check-in. If online check-in is unavailable, the document must be presented at the terminal ticket counter prior to departure. Passengers should carry the ID listed on their certificate.
Required supporting documentation for Large Family discounts:
- Valid Official Large Family Title or Individual Card issued by the corresponding Autonomous Community, along with a DNI or equivalent document.
- Minors under 14 without an ID document must have their date of birth recorded on the ticket.

General conditions and accumulation limits:
- If multiple subsidies managed by the General State Administration apply to the same route, the combined total discount cannot exceed 85% of the standard fare. For inter-island trips, the cumulative discount may reach 100%.
- Subsidies are non-transferable and cannot be applied to tickets used by persons other than the named beneficiary.
- Discounts apply strictly to accommodation costs and exclude vehicles, pets, meals, insurance, or other add-ons.
