Travel with your pet

Discover all the information you need to know to travel with our best friends on board ships.

In Trasmed we are pet-friendly which means that on board our boats you can travel with your dog or cat in comfort and safety. . You will only have to choose between:

1️⃣ Cabin pet-friendly where you can stay with up to 2 furry friends. Includes a "Welcome Pet Bag" for the pet.

2️⃣ Seating area to travel with your pet in a carrier as long as it weighs up to 8kg (including the carrier).

3️⃣ Conditioned booths with video surveillance.

🚫 Important: the pet you cannot travel in the hold of the ship or stay inside the car during the journey.

Documentation required to travel

To board with your pet it is necessary to bring the corresponding documentation. You must present the boarding card of the pet and the valid health card , with the mandatory vaccines and treatments duly updated.

Weight Limit

He pet weight limit only applies to those traveling in a carrier and in the seat area. . In these cases, the maximum allowed is 8 kg, including the carrier. Pets traveling in a cabin or in equipped cabins have no weight limit.

Travel with your pet

You can have your pet by your side throughout the journey on outdoor decks and in the enabled indoor areas, as long as it is on a leash.

Remember that your four-legged best friend will also need a ticket to board our boats.

Welcome Pet Bag and Bed kit

All our pet-friendly cabins include a gift Welcome Pet Bag with surprises for your best friend. And if you need something else to make him comfortable, you can ask at reception for what you need: bed, water fountain, pads... Whatever you need! Just remember that all of that is from the cabin and cannot be taken at the end of the trip. 😉

Passengers staying in other types of accommodation can purchase this pack in the on-board store (price €20). It is available on all ships.

Sleep with your animal in our cabins pet friendly

At Trasmed we know how important it is to share the trip with those you love most: for this reason, all our ships have special cabins, interior or exterior, that allow access to dogs and/or cats so that you can share the journey with your best friend.

You can stay with up to a maximum of 2 animals (dogs or cats), no weight limit.
All pet-friendly cabins include the “ Welcome Pet Bag ”.

At the end of the trip, all of our cabins adapted for traveling with animals undergo a meticulous special cleaning process, to guarantee maximum hygiene.

Reserve your pet-friendly cabin online, selecting during the reservation phase the accommodation “cabin suitable for pets.”

Travel with your pet in our seats

If you prefer to travel in an armchair, you can also do so with your dog or cat.

You can accommodate yourself in our pet seating area with any pet, as long as it travels in its carrier: remember that to travel in a seat with you, your pet does not have to weigh more than 8 kilos, including the carrier.

A maximum of one animal may travel per passenger.

Accommodate your pet in our equipped kennels

Our boats also have conditioned and video-monitored booths of different sizes.

All our cabins are built with material that prevents the presence of parasites and also undergo a cleaning and disinfection process before each trip.

The booths have a video surveillance service. To access the camera you must enter your username and password on a website specially enabled for this (this information will be provided to you directly on board at reception). Once you have logged in, you can choose the camera where your pet is. It is important that you remember that in order to access this service you must be connected to the ship's free WIFI.

If your animal travels housed in a kennel, you can visit it during the trip.

Common areas pet friendly

Dogs can walk with a harness and leash on the external bridges and the areas designated for them and in the case of dogs considered potentially dangerous they will have to be muzzled.

Outdoor areas with garden and relaxation so that both the furry ones and the owners can enjoy the fresh air on board

Cafeteria areas enabled to enjoy cafeteria services accompanied by your pet.

In the restaurants on board we will also have dedicated areas to enjoy the best dishes accompanied by your pet.

what muzzle do I choose for the trip?

For the well-being of your dog, we advise you to use a basket or basket type muzzle, this being the most comfortable and safest type for your dog as it allows it to pant. Dogs barely have sweat glands and regulate their own temperature through panting: basket muzzles allow the animal to open its mouth without the risk of being bitten.

Recommendations for traveling with cats

For their safety, cats will not be able to walk on a leash in the exterior areas of the ship and, therefore, they will always have to travel inside their carrier when they are in the common areas of the ship.

HE recommends passengers traveling with cats to stay in a cabin pet-friendly to guarantee a more comfortable trip for the animal, since there are many hours of travel inside a carrier with hardly any mobility.
